Support Staff

Community Living Stratford and Area is currently seeking motivated Support Professionals for Part Time Support Worker rotations. While ideal candidates would have a 2-year College Diploma in a Developmental Services Program, those with equivalent education in the adult human services field, those in the process of obtaining their DSW or with interest and experience in the developmental services sector are also encouraged to apply.  

Successful candidates will be proven self-starters who are organized in order to attend to the duties that are required to be completed on shift. They will need to have a demonstrated ability to react calmly in a crisis and have a keen eye for the changing needs of those being supported.  

Successful candidates will provide supports that respect and encourage personal choice. They will recognize individual’s abilities and aspirations, while providing an unbiased approach to informed decision making. 

This role may also include the operation of mechanical lifts, administration of medication, and assisting individuals through daily activities in the home and out in the community.  

Successful candidates must possess a positive attitude, be a team player, and have strong communication and problem solving skills.

START DATE: ASAP 

SALARY: $19.37-$20.42 for awake hours/Minimum wage for sleep hours
